Acting classes are held Tuesday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 pm starting May 9th at Audiowild Studios, 54240 Ridgeview Drive in Idyllwild.

• Explore the basic dramatic technique incorporated by the teachings of Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Stanford Meisner and Stella Adler.

 

• Improvisation exercises and theatre games along with monologue study are integrated with scene study and character development. 

 

• Directing students will get a hands-on approach to script analysis, aesthetic acuity, and guiding actors to find the truth in the script and their character. 

 

• Students will work on auditioning technique and will work in scenes with other actors.

 

• Working actors are encouraged to bring in scene work to sharpen and stretch their skills or work on audition material. 

 

• Students will thrive under this course of study and be confident in their auditions and performances.

Classes are taught by Suzanne Avalon, founder, and president of Idyllwild Actors Theatre with over 50 years ofexperience as an actor, producer, director and teacher. Students will be encouraged to audition for upcoming IAT productions.
